Light bodied for the vintage, with perfumy sandalwood, red cherry, plum and black tea notes that glide along through the silky finish. Not big, but with solid length and balance. This also puts on weight nicely as it airs. Drink now through 2020. –JM

2007 Bright ruby. Powerful, perfumed nose of blackberry, ripe plum, licorice, garrigue and bitter chocolate. Rich and deep, with some strong oak spice notes framing the ripe dark berry flavors. The berry fruit finishes viscous but juicy, with the oak tones echoing through the back end
