The brilliant 2007 St.-Peray Fleur de Crussol, named after the ruined fortress overlooking the city of Valence, tastes like a liqueur of rocks intermixed with honeyed citrus. Medium to full-bodied as well as gorgeously fruity and fresh, this superb effort demonstrates the undeniable potential that exists in this tiny appellation that only produces dry and sparkling white wines. Both whites are best consumed during their first 2-4 years of life.
