In the same mold, the 2012 Cornas Les Chailles (aged 18 months in neutral oak) is a perfumed, beautifully fresh Cornas that oozes class with its cassis, black raspberry, spring flowers, charcoal and wild-herb-driven bouquet. While it doesn’t have the weight of the other two cuvees, it is seamless, medium to full-bodied, and elegant, with no trace of rusticity or coarseness. Enjoy it over the coming 10-15 years. -JD
Cornas - Les Chailles
An intense purple colour, with a natural bouquet of small red berries and spices. On the tongue, it is silky with round, full tannins. This CORNAS is elegant, full of fruits.
