More about Château de La Terrière
Château de la Terrière was constructed in Cercié, in the heart of the historic Beaujolais, since the 13th century.
Facing Mount Brouilly, the castle and its vines spread southwards over a porphyry hill, on the opposite of other Brouillys which are located on more sandy soils. This is what gives this wine a unique character.
Since 2003, Henry Plasse, the viticulturist and his oenologist, Fréderic Maignet, have succeeded in optimizing the wines through a strict control of the yields, an old fashioned work of the soils and a major renovation of the cellar.
